Algorithm changes are versioned. Material changes carry 14 days of notice. Corrections are public within 2 hours and trigger re-sent alerts within 6 hours.
Decay window for ProMED tips reduced from 21 to 14 days
Lower-confidence health tips now decay faster. Net effect: 6 countries moved 1 to 3 points; 2 countries moved 4 points (within materiality threshold). 14-day notice given on 2026-04-17.

An ACLED ingestion error duplicated three events. Corrected scores re-issued; alerts triggered by the bad score re-sent with an apology note. RCA published on the security page.
Crime baseline weighting rebalanced
Numbeo data now weighted 0.4× (was 0.5×), UNODC + OSAC weighted up to compensate. Net effect: minimal, every country moved <2 points.
Government-advisory blend reduced from 25% → 20%
Country-level event signals now drive the score more directly; advisories remain prominently displayed but no longer dominate the headline number.
